SIKESTON, Mo. -- Edna Woods, 96, of Sikeston died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. She was born April 27, 1908, in McCool, Miss., daughter of Wesley and Iva Ashford Knox. Woods lived in Missouri more than 82 years and attended Lincoln School. She had been a cook for several families. She was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church and sang in the choir...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Edna Woods, 96, of Sikeston died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born April 27, 1908, in McCool, Miss., daughter of Wesley and Iva Ashford Knox.

Woods lived in Missouri more than 82 years and attended Lincoln School. She had been a cook for several families. She was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church and sang in the choir.

Survivors include a stepson, L.V. Montjoy of Sikeston.

Friends may call at Smith Chapel Church from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. at the church, with the Rev. Byron Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Sunset of Memories Cemetery.

Williams Funeral Home in Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
