SCOTT CITY -- Funeral service for Edna Virginia Royce of Scott City will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee. The Rev. Randy Morse will officiate, with burial in Mound City National Cemetery in Mounds, Ill.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Sunday.
Royce, 73, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 1994, at her home.
She was born Nov. 25, 1920, in Cairo, Ill., daughter of Fred Eugene and Etta Mae Frields Keppner. She first married Clifford Lewis Mayabb, who died Oct. 23, 1965. She later married Cecil Lawrence Royce May 7, 1966. He died June 21, 1988.
Survivors include six sons, Kenneth and Ronald Sumner and John Mayabb of Scott City, Jerry Mayabb of St. Louis, Clifford Jr. and Michael Mayabb of the home; four daughters, Linda Fisher of Anna, Ill., Judy Sharp of Grand Chain, Ill., Marilyn Schildt of Scott City, Peggy McHarry of Ullin, Ill.; 22 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and a grandchild.
