Edna Thomas, 83, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Services of Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 25, 1917, at Caruth, Mo., daughter of Marion and Lyda Allen Harmon. She and Louis Thomas were married March 2, 1934, in Cape Girardeau. He died June 20, 1977.
Thomas lived in Cape Girardeau most of her life. She worked 28 years at Missouri Utilities Co. She also operated City Cab Co., where she was dispatcher and bookkeeper. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Thomas of Pensacola, Fla.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, two stepsisters and a granddaughter.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at the chapel at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Anselm Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
