DEXTER -- Edna Niswonger Warlen, 90, died Friday, Jan. 16, 1998, at the Blue River Care Center in Kansas City.
She was born June 16, 1907, near Doniphan, daughter of Abraham Lincoln and Fannie Loftis Lorey. She and Joseph O. Niswonger were married Jan. 28, 1924. He died Jan. 15, 1963. She and Clarence M. Warlen were married in 1970. He died in 1980.
She was a former resident of Doniphan and moved to Parma in 1939 where she and her husband managed the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home until 1965.
She was a charter member of the Parma Missionary Baptist Church. She later moved her membership to the Armour Heights Baptist Church in Kansas City.
Survivors include a son, O.J. Niswonger of Eldorado, N.M.; two daughters, Betty Jo Eaton of Kansas City and Nettie Mae Noble of Houston, Texas; a brother, Robert Lorey of Doniphan; three sisters, Eleanor Niswonger of Jackson, Dorothy Gibson of Oxnard, Calif., and Lilly Penrod of Fairdealing; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Parma, with the Rev. Jody Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
