Edna Irene Harris, 94, of Jackson died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020, at her home.

She was born July 13, 1925, in Gordonville to Leo and Myrtle Strong Brugger. She and Joel Harold Harris were married April 27, 1946, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He preceded her in death Sept. 20, 2010.

She was a sewing-machine operator at International Shoe Co.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and St. Ann's Sodality.

Survivors include her nephews, Ben (Rita) Brugger of Jackson, Jerry Schremp of Perryville, Missouri, and Ray (Debbie) Crites of Texas; nieces, Margaret Brugger of Marble Hill, Missouri, Dorothy (Sylvester) Layton of Perryville, Martha (Mike) Smith of Jackson, Mary (Greg) Ellis of Sedgewickville, Missouri, and Marian Brugger of Jackson; sister-in-law, Ruth Brugger of Jackson; and several great-nieces and -nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Fred, Louis, Ben, Clarence and Charles; sisters, Ann and Leona; nephews, Roy Brugger and Ken and Don Schremp; and nieces, Sue Duepher and Sue Schremp.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.

Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Normand Varone officiating. Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Ann's Sodality.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
