Edna D. Grebing, 92, 1530 New Madrid, died Sunday, April 6, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Feb. 12, 1905, at Egypt Mills, daughter of Martin and Dorothea Doering Hilpert. She and Oscar E.E. Grebing were married Oct. 25, 1924, in Cape Girardeau. He died May 10, 1983.
Grebing was a manager at Trinity Lutheran School cafeteria, worked in the cafeteria at Central High School, and then was manager of Franklin School cafeteria, retiring in 1967.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, its Junior Ladies Aid, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, and had been a Sunday School teacher. She was a member of the Lutheran Home Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons, Edward Grebing of Cape Girardeau, Ronald Grebing of Apex, N.C.; a daughter, Marilyn Dippold of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Helen Moore of Cape Girardeau; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, and two grandsons.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Church, with the Rev. David V. Dissen officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
