Graveside service for Edna Crawford of Rushville, Ill., was held March 10 at Rushville City Cemetery. The Rev. Michael Smith officiated. Roby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Crawford, 88, died Tuesday, March 8, 1994, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

She was born Sept. 24, 1905, near Turley, daughter of Thomas Howard and Nona Long Duff. She and Wiliam Edward Crawford were married March 1, 1926.

The Crawfords owned and operated two service stations in St. Louis. She had also been an accountant with Federal Home Administration and the U.S. Army in St. Louis, retiring in 1962. She was a member of Freewill Baptist Church here.

Survivors include two sons, William Crawford Jr. of Marion, Ill., Robert Crawford of Honolulu; two brothers, Emmett Duff of Cape Girardeau, Floyd Duff of Springfield; a sister, Jewell Spears of Grandview; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.
