MOUNDS, Ill. -- Edna Charleen Wood, 46, of Mounds, died Sunday, April 23, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
She was born Nov. 21, 1948, in Rockford, daughter of Dupree M. and Edna Pauline "Polly" Adams Wood.
Wood was a secretary at Meridian High School 26 years, and served as city clerk of Mounds three years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, and had been youth director, Sunday School teacher, and Training Union teacher.
Survivors include two brothers, Bill and Michael Wood of Mounds.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother, stepfather, and a brother.
Friends may call at First Baptist Church from 5-9 p.m. today, and after 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Funeral service will be at the church at 1 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Quinton Davis officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
Jones Funeral Home at Villa Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
