ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Edmund W. Weber, 91, of Altenburg died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville, Mo.
He was born March 22, 1916 in Wittenburg, Mo., son of Otto Frederick and Ida Mathilda Perr Weber.
He and Verna Martha Mangels were married Sept. 29, 1940. She died Jan. 13, 2006.
He was owner/operator of Weber's Place on the Ridge near Altenburg, a farmer and a barber.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg, the Lions Club and Golden Age Club.
Survivors include a son, Richard Weber of Frohna, Mo.; three daughters, Mary Kiehne of Jackson, Arlene Fluegge of Frankfort, Ky., Ruby Majors of St. Louis; a sister, Helen Koenig of Tucson, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter and two brothers.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel and from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg, with the Rev. Keith Weise officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
