EDITH WOOD

SIKESTON -- Edith A. Wood, 73, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 3, 1925, in Osceola, Ark., daughter of John and Myrtle Pharris Ahart. She and Charles D. Wood were married April 10, 1943, in Abilene, Texas.

Wood was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella.

Survivors include her husband; a son, David Wood of Dallas, Texas; a daughter, Lonna Clinch of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers, John Ahart of Elyria, Ohio, Herbert Ahart of Sikeston; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, brother, and sister.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 7:30.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Church, with Msgr. William Stanton officiating. Burial will be in Dry Bayou Cemetery at Hayti.
