EAST PRAIRIE -- Edith M. Hannah, 76, of St. Louis, formerly of East Prairie, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 1994, at DePaul Health Center in St. Louis, following an extended illness.
She was born Jan. 31, 1917, in Pulaski, Tenn., daughter of Tommy and Nonnie Johnson. She and Raymond Hannah were married Sept. 14, 1934. He died June 6, 1979.
Hannah had lived in St. Louis since 1979, and was retired from Knaust Mushroom Co.
Survivors include four sons, Raymond Hannah of Farmington, William and Larry Hannah of St. Louis, Bobby Hannah of Red Bud, Ill.; five daughters, Mary Garner of Cape Girardeau, Dorothy Silkwood of St. Louis, Barbara Askins of Fredericktown, Fredia Ferguson of Hillsboro, Betty Quertermous of Scott City; a brother, Robert Johnson of Cedartown, Ga.; three sisters, Myrtle Young of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Martha Beaver of Pulaski, Dorothy Cagle of El Reno, Okla.; 24 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, five sisters and a granddaughter.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Shelby Funeral Chapel. Larry Rouse will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. today.
