MENFRO -- Edith "Mary Jane" Bernard, 81, of Sun City, Ariz., died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 1995, at her home. She was born Nov. 12, 1914, at Menfro, daughter of John August and Emma Gerstacker Moldenhauer. She and Elby Bernard were married April 14, 1940. He died March 3, 1981...

MENFRO -- Edith "Mary Jane" Bernard, 81, of Sun City, Ariz., died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 1995, at her home.

She was born Nov. 12, 1914, at Menfro, daughter of John August and Emma Gerstacker Moldenhauer. She and Elby Bernard were married April 14, 1940. He died March 3, 1981.

Bernard was a retired dress designer.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Mechsner of Austin, Texas; a brother, August Moldenhauer of Perryville; three sisters, Alma Kahmke of St. Louis, Edna Shortt and Gladys Moldenhauer of Sun City, and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Schneider will officiate.

Young and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
