WOLF LAKE, Ill. -- Edith K. Aldridge, 82, of Wolf Lake, Ill., died Thursday, July 19, 2001, at her home.
She was born Nov. 16, 1918, in Olive Branch, Ill., daughter of William and Lula Beeman Walker. She and Charles Aldridge were married July 26, 1947.
Aldridge was a member of St. Peters United Church of Christ in Murphysboro, Ill. She taught in schools in Olive Branch for 15 years and Millstadt, Ill., for 24 years. She was a member of the Illinois Education Association, a lifetime member of the Retired Teachers Association and a member of the St. Louis Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society.
Survivors include her husband; and a brother, Harold Walker of Jonesboro, Ill.
She was preceded in death by a son.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna, Ill., from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Revs. P.K. Sunny and John Prather will officiate, with burial in Walker Hill Cemetery in Grand Tower, Ill.
