EDGAR SANDLER

PERRYVILLE -- Edgar W. Sandler, 91, of Perryville died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999, at Perry Oaks Healthcare Center.

He was born Sept. 16, 1908, in Perry County, son of Gottlieb and Lena M. Dippold Sandler. He and Marie Emmendorfer were married Nov. 9, 1963, in Perryville.

Sandler was an instructor at International Shoe Co. 28 years. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and its Lutheran Laymens League, American Legion, and charter member of Perryville Police Auxiliary.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.Survivors include his wife; a sister, Elsie Brewer of St. Louis; two brothers, Leroy Sandler of Perryville and Melvin Sandler of St. Mary's.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Thursday from 6:30-9:30 a.m. An American Legion service will be held at 7 tonight.

Funeral will be at11 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Church, with the Rev. Craig Otto officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
