ANNA, Ill. -- Edgar Lee Mangrum, 87, of Anna died Saturday, June 8, 1996, at the Friendship Care Facility in Marion, Ill.
He was born Feb. 2, 1909, at Cobden, Ill., to George Washington Henry and Lula Ann Gore Mangrum.
On Nov. 1, 1930, he married Ruby Adams, who died April 8, 1971. In November 1971, he married Eliza Ellen Short, who died in 1993.
Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Teetor of Anna and Elizabeth Moerlien of Edmonton, Ky.; a sister, Virgie Jackson of Anna; a brother, Jack Orvie Mangrum; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son.
Visitation is after 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna. Service is Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Alto Pass Cemetery.
