MOREHOUSE -- Edgar Finney, 71, of Morehouse died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 1998, in an automobile accident at Morehouse.
He was born March 17, 1927, at Vanduser, son of Sidney and Anna May Burton Finney. He married Betty Strauser.
Finney had lived in the Morehouse and Sikeston area most of his life.
Survivors include four sons, Frankie Finney of St. Charles, Charles Finney of Ozark, Ark., Edgar Finney of Fort Smith, Ark., Bud Finney of Alma, Ark.; three daughters, Anna Carter of East Prairie, Patsy Gravil of Sikeston, and Cres Julian of Van Buren, Ark.
Also surviving are four sisters, Wanda Cochran and Lavern Carmack of Sikeston, Lillian Causey of Windfall, Ind., Mildred Brown of Brawley, Calif.; two brothers, Franklin Finney of Dwight, Ill., Richard Finney of Windfall; 22 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Frank Breeden officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
