PERRYVILLE -- Edgar J. Clements, 84, of Perryville died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999, at Grandview Healthcare Center in Washington, Mo.
He was born April 1, 1915, at Lixville, son of Louis and Elizabeth Wirth Clements. He and Norma E. Grossheider were married Feb. 23, 1941.
Clements had worked at Magnolia Shoe Factory, and was a carpenter in house construction. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lutheran Laymen's League, Lutheran Men's Club, and Bible Class.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Wayne Clements of Washington, Dale Clements of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Catherine Besand of Perryville, Mae Propst of Sedgewickville; three brothers, Wilbert and Oscar Clements of Perryville, Kelly Clements of Biehle; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 3-9 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 a.m.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Church. The Rev. Craig Otto will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
