Harvey Edward "Eddie" Wood, 57, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born April 20, 1962, in Cape Girardeau, son of Thomas Benton Sr. and Dorothy A. Seabaugh Wood. He and Margaret A. "Maggie" Whitener were married March 28, 1989.

Eddie was a 1980 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked at Procter & Gamble. He loved all types of music and movies and also enjoyed camping and spending time with family and friends.

Loving survivors include his wife of 30 years, Maggie Wood of Jackson; sons, Ben (Mindi) Wood, and their, children Maci, Brandi and Tori, and Cameron (Sarah Beth) Wood, and their children, Adelaide, Andy and Jack, all of Jackson; and sisters, Janet (Jerry) Klenn of Doniphan, Missouri, and Cindy (Willard) Huffman of Whitewater.

Also surviving are his mother-in-law and stepfather-in-law, Lois (Larry) Patrick of Jackson; stepmother-in-law, Jane Whitener of Cape Girardeau; and many other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Natalie Wood; brother, Thomas Wood; sister, Carol Wood; and father-in-law, Len Whitener.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Rice officiating.

The family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Hope Lodge in St. Louis.
