CHARLESTON - Eddie Eddington, 87 of Charleston, died Friday Oct. 2, 1992 at the Bertrand Nursing facilities following an extended illlness.
He was born Aug. 2, 1905 in the state of Tennessee, and was a retired employee of the Lankheit farms. He was a member of the Mercy Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Hattie Eddington, on Nov. 11, 1987.
Survivors include: a son, Harry Harris of St. Louis; a daughter, Tomazine Moore of Charleston; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren; and a friend, Mabel Hart of Charleston.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Monday at Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Mercy Baptist Church, with Rev. J.L. Posey officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
