JACKSON -- Ed Castleman, 75, of Jackson, died Wednesday, June 19, 1991, at his home.
He was born Jan. 12, 1916, in Union City, Tenn., son of Clarence and Claudie Foster Castleman. He and Ruth Hayes were married Oct. 28, 1933. She died Sept. 17, 1989.
Castleman moved to Jackson in 1973 from Piggott, Ark. He retired as superintendent at Brown Shoe Factory in Piggott, and had also been superintendent of the plant at Sarcoxie and assistant superintendent at Chaffee. He was a member of First Baptist Church, American Legion and Elks in Jackson. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Lynch of Jackson; a brother, Edtric Castleman of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, Ed Lynch of Jackson, Cindy Williams of Knoxville, Tenn., and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Rodney Travis will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until time of service.
