SIKESTON -- Margaret Earline Griffey, 88, of Arnold, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 1991, at St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis County.
She was born June 24, 1903, at Matthews, daughter of William and Dora Hayes Helms. She married Orvel Griffey.
Griffey was a member of Meramec-Arnold Eagles Auxiliary 3678, Becker-Meyer-Becker VFW Auxiliary 2593, and American Legion Auxiliary 114 at Sikeston.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Kenneth Dunn of Cincinnati, Ohio, Everett Dunn of Muncie, Ind., Duane Harris of Arnold; two daughters, Wilma Bizzell of Muncie, Lorene Roberts of Sikeston; two brothers, Granville Hall of New Castle, Ind., Bill Helms of Sikeston; three sisters, Lucille Loftin of Muncie, Mary Lambert of Cedar Hill, Ruby Spencer of Matthews; 14 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, six brothers and two sisters.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Milton Poole will officiate, with burial in Matthews Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Friday.
