EARLENE PROST

PERRYVILLE -- Earlene L. Prost, 81, of Perryville died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 29, 1917, at Perryville, daughter of Andrew M. and Louise Pannier Emmendorfer. She and Harvey J. Prost were married June 7, 1940, at Perryville. He died Aug. 7, 1991.

She was a secretary at Prost Motors.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella, the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and the Perry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son, Roger Prost of Perryville; two daughters, Charlene M. Schawacker of St. Louis and Carol A. Strattman of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Marie Sandler of Perryville; and five grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church from 4 to 9 p.m. today, with a parish wake service with the Daughters of Isabella at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the church. The Rev. Richard Lause will officiate, with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.

Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville is in charge of arrangements.
