WHITEWATER -- Earl Wiseman, 79, of Whitewater died Friday, Jan. 8, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 27, 1913, at Burfordville, the son of Burrett and Ethel Rice Wiseman. On Dec. 1, 1935, he married Flora Williams, who survives of the home.

He was a member of Bethlehem General Baptist Church at Crump, and he farmed near Whitewater until he became disabled in 1965.

Other survivors include a son, J. E. Wiseman of Whitewater; five daughters, Nelda Green of Jackson, Earline Wiseman of Stonewood, W.V., Nora Garnett of Cedar Park, Texas, Elaine DiRago of Madison, Ala., and Judy Kinney of Sparta, Ohio; a brother, Ellis Wiseman of St. Louis; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandsons; and a step-great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at McCombs Chapel. The Rev. Jimmie Fullbright, the Rev. Willis Smith and the Rev. Wayne Johnson will officiate, and burial will be in Proffer Cemetery in Crump.
