DEXTER -- Earl Dean Powell, 58, of Dexter died at his home Saturday, March 16, 1996.
He was born Oct. 18, 1937, at Campbell, son of George C. and Louella Crowley Powell.
He married Sylvia Lou Maddox in Poplar Bluff on Feb. 20, 1950. She survives.
Powell, formerly of Malden, moved to Dexter in 1973. He was employed at Arvin Automotive in Dexter as a fork-lift driver. He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Scotty Lee Buie of Malden; four brothers, Jack Powell of Bonne Terre, Glen Powell of South Haven, Miss., Bud Powell of Lebanon and Reed Powell of Flint, Mich.; a sister, Peggy Tole of Pine Bluff, Ark.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.
Service will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter, with the Revs. Gene Partin and James Epps officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
