Funeral for Earl Dale of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Kennett, Mo., was held Tuesday at McDaniel Funeral Chapel in Kennett, with the Rev. Ed Jansson officiating. Burial was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Dale, 96, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 17, 1905, in Rector, Ark., son of Woodie and Telee Dale. He and Lora Jane Cary were married Oct. 9, 1926.
Dale was a farmer and merchant. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Kennett, where he served as a deacon.
Survivors include his wife; a son, James Dale of Houston, Texas; a daughter, June Richardson of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, James Dale of Pollard, Ark., Gerald Dale of St. Charles, Mo.; two sisters, Imogene Millikan of McDougal, Ark., Melva Chilcutt of Elsberry, Mo.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.
