EARL A. MITCHELL

SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Earl A. Mitchell of Sikeston will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. A.G. Hampton will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.

Mitchell, 76 years old, died Sunday, April 14, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 17, 1914, at West Plains, son of Haram and Mamie Patillo Mitchell. He and the former Esther Coleman were married Nov. 24, 1934, at Caruthersville.

The family moved to this area in 1954. He had been a maintenance worker at the JCPenney store here.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Earlean Dowdy of Poplar Bluff; a brother, Noel Mitchell of Rockford, Ill.; two grandsons, and a great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers and a sister.
