E. Lucille Alcorn, 94, of 2825 Bloomfield Road died Sunday, March 2, 1997, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born April 1, 1902, in Greenway, Ark., daughter of Andrew and Helen Birk Stokes. She married Esco Alcorn on Aug. 3, 1919, in Piggot, Ark. He preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 1986.
She had worked as a seamstress for 40 years in Hot Springs, Ark,, and moved to Cape Girardeau in 1982.
She is survived by two daughters, Helen Birk of Cape Girardeau and Lyle Mullins of Farmington; 12 grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, two brothers, six sisters and one grandchild.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Stephen McDougal officiating. Interment will be in the Lorimier Mausoleum.
