Duron Nunley

Duron Martrel Nunley of Cape Girardeau was born Aug. 13, 1989, in Cape Girardeau to Joe Willie and Tamra Renee Egson Nunley Jr.

He was a 2008 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School and was employed at Chartwells Compass Group at Southeast Missouri State University.

Duron accepted the Lord as his Savior and was baptized at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. On Thursday, June 13, 2024, he was carried home on the wings of an angel at the age of 34 years and 10 months.

Duron was loyal to his family and close friends. He was a devoted father and family man and enjoyed cooking for them and video gaming with his sons. He was a talented lyricist and an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching his boys in their sporting activities.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents; three brothers, Joe Brand and Darieth and Davarious Nunley; fiancee and mother of his children, Danica Edwards; sons, Demarion, Drake and Blayze Nunley; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, June 20, at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will follow at noon, Thursday, June 20, at the church, with Pastor Howard McGee Jr. officiating. Interment will immediately follow services at Fairmount Cemetery, with the Williams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
