DEXTER -- Dr. Vernon E. McKillip, 78, of Dexter died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at Dexter Memorial Hospital. He was born Jan. 15, 1920, in Madison, S.D., son of Irl and Mary Donavan McKillip. He and Bernice Lindblad were married June 24, 1942, in Sioux City, Iowa...

DEXTER -- Dr. Vernon E. McKillip, 78, of Dexter died Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.

He was born Jan. 15, 1920, in Madison, S.D., son of Irl and Mary Donavan McKillip. He and Bernice Lindblad were married June 24, 1942, in Sioux City, Iowa.

McKillip was a graduate of Lincoln Chiropractic College in Indianapolis, Ind.

He moved to Dexter in 1971 from Hamilton. He was a chiropractor in Dexter many years. McKillip was a member of International Chiropractor Association and Dexter American Legion. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Douglas McKillip of Caruthersville, David McKillip of Hot Springs, Ark., and Dan McKillip of St. Louis.

There will be no service.

Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter was in charge of arrangements.
