TAMMS, Ill. -- Dr. Peter Blakemore, 42, of River Forest, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 1995, at his home.
He was born Feb. 6, 1953, in Evanston, son of the Rev. John and Louisa Blakemore.
Blakemore received a Ph.D. in church history from Bob Jones University. He had been pastor of Harrison Street Bible Church in Oak Park 12 years, and wasva teacher at Schausburg Bible Institute.
Survivors include his wife, Marla; five sons, Peter, Andrew, Ryan, John and David Blakemore, all of the home; two daughters, Elizabeth and Gracelyn Blakemore of the home; his mother of Oak Park; a brother, Paul Blakemore of Geneva, and a sister, Elizabeth Tye of Lorton, Va.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Harrison Street Church in Oak Park.
Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge. His son, Peter, will officiate.
Crain Funeral Home at Tamms is in charge of arrangements.
