CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Dr. David J. Clark, a Cape Girardeau surgeon, died Tuesday, March 5, 1991.
Clark, 46 years old, was a general surgeon. He was associated with the Cape Girardeau Surgical Group for more than 12 years.
He died of a massive heart attack that he suffered at approximately 4 p.m. at his home, said a spokesman for the surgical group.
He was a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery, a member of the local society of the Missouri State Medical Association, and a member of the American Medical Association.
In 1990, Clark received the Physician's Recognition Award given by the American Medical Association and the Missouri State Medical Association for his efforts to further medical education.
Among survivors are his wife, Jackie, and sons, John and Travis.
He was of the Presbyterian faith.
Arrangements were incomplete Tuesday night. They are being handled by Ford and Sons Funeral Home.
