SIKESTON -- Doye Gene Coffer, 45, of Sikeston Route 2 died Saturday, March 20, 1993, at his home.

He was born Nov. 20, 1947 at Anniston, son of Lucille Holidness Coffer and the late Brad Coffer.

He had lived in Mississippi and Scott counties most of his life. He was a self-employed mechanic and a member of the Diehlstadt General Baptist Church.

Surviving, besides his mother, are two daughters, Lee Ann Seyer and Michelle Coffer, both of Cape Girardeau; one stepson, Wade Howard of Sikeston; a sister, Leota Groce of Wickliffe, Ky.; four brothers, Larry Coffer of East Prairie, and Henry, O.V., and Charles Coffer, all of Charleston; and four grandsons.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Shelby Chapel with the Rev. Raymond Hannah of the Diehlstadt General Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
