DOVIE HARPER

BLOOMFIELD -- Funeral service for Dovie Harper of Bloomfield will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home. The Rev. Hank Foster will officiate, with burial in Walker Cemetery.

Harper, 88, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.

She was born Feb. 4, 1909, at Bloomfield, daughter of E.H. and Delia Miller Baker. She married Lawton Harper, who died in 1978.

Harper was a lifetime resident of the Bloomfield community.

Survivors include a son, Lowell Harper of Dexter; a brother, Shelton Baker of Dexter; a sister, Rose Baker of Bloomfield; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by a brother.
