Douglas L. Koehler, 52, of Jackson died Friday, April 1, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Feb. 8, 1953, in Cape Girardeau, son of Charles "Bud" and Gusta Wedekind Koehler.
Koehler was a former member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson and a former merchant marine.
Survivors include a son, Douglas Koehler II of Lawton, Okla.; a daughter, Angel Newell of Friedheim, Mo.; his mother of Jackson; five brothers, Chuck Koehler, Dan Koehler, both of York, Pa., Ron Koehler of Millersville, Joe Koehler of Coppell, Texas, Rick Koehler of Marble Hill, Mo.; a sister, Judy Dale of Oak Ridge; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
