ANNA, Ill. -- Douglas C. Hewitt, 60, of Anna died Saturday, Sept. 16, 1995, at his home.

He was born Dec. 8, 1934, in East St. Louis, Ill., the son of Ira and Beulah Anderson Hewitt. He married Doris Louise Barker on Sept. 9, 1979.

He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Douglas and Kelley Hewitt of Belleville, Ill.; and a brother, Ralph Hewitt of Elgin.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Anna, where funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Bert Mitchell will officiate, and burial will be in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park at Murphysboro.
