DEXTER -- Dottie Mae Wolpers, 75, of Bloomfield died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 1995, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.

She was born to Albert and Effie Rosetta Shipman April 5, 1919, in Butler County.

She married Erick Louis Wolpers June 28, 1943, in Dexter. He died June 18, 1980.

Wolpers was a retired juvenile officer for the state.

She was a member of the Mt. Gilead General Baptist Church near Dexter.

Surviving are a son, Erick Wolpers Jr. of New Franklin; a daughter, Shelvia Ratliff of Dexter; a sister, Sybil Cravens of Dexter; and three grandchildren.

Wolpers was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and a grandchild.

Friends may call Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter Thursday after 6 p.m.

Funeral service will be at the funeral home Friday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Chester Smith officiating.

Burial will be in Hill Cemetery near Dexter.
