DONGOLA, Ill. -- Dorris F. Lingle, 94, of Dongola died Monday, Oct. 27, 2003, at the Jonesboro Healthcare Center. He was born March 27, 1909, son of Charles and Erva McIntosh Lingle.

Lingle was a lifetime member of Mount Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was retired from Armour Packing Co.

Survivors include his son, David Lingle of Lake Forest, Wash.; two grandsons, Matthew and Nathan Lingle; and one brother, Doyle Lingle of Dongola.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m., Wednesday, at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola. Funeral will follow, with the Rev. Dare Aden officiating. Internment will be in Mount Zion Cemetery.
