EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral for Dorothy O. Williams of East Prairie will be held at 10 a.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Burl Britt and Mike Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.

Williams, 78, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born July 6, 1921, in New Madrid, daughter of Charles and Algie Mae Carter Presson.

Williams lived in Mississippi County most of her life.

Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Hawkins of Patterson, Norma Ingole of Chicago; a sister, Ruby Adams of East Prairie; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
