DOROTHY WALTHER

POCAHONTAS -- Dorothy Helena Walther, 73, of Pocahontas died Monday, May 4, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 26, 1925, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Arthur and Annie Bartles Krueger. She and Gilbert Walther were married Dec. 5, 1944.

Walther was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Alvera "Christine" Haertling of New Wells; a sister, Althea Lukow of Gordonville; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Howard Mueller officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
