JONESBORO, Ill. -- Dorothy M. "Dot" Thompson, 68, of Jonesboro died Sunday, April 5, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 8, 1929, at Anna, daughter of Dewey and Flossie Dill Woolridge. She and Norman Thompson were married April 9, 1948, at Piggott, Ark. He died Dec. 9, 1981.
She was a member of the Lockard Chapel Baptist Church near Jonesboro.
Survivors include her mother; a son, Tony James Thompson of Anna; a daughter, Brenda Sue Thompson of Jonesboro; a brother, Bill Woolridge of Murphysboro; a sister, Betty Woolridge of Memphis, Tenn.; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Gene Hart will officiate, with burial in the Jonesboro Cemetery.
