MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Dorothy Mae Swan, 88, of Marble Hill died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born on May 25, 1925, near Grassy, Mo., she was the daughter of Louis and Lury Octavia Lyke Estes. She was married to John Swan, who preceded her in death March 29, 1980.
Dorothy retired after many years as an aide at the El Nathan Home in Marble Hill. She was a member of Cape First Assembly of God in Marble Hill.
She is survived by three children, Harold D. (Shirley) Swan of Maryland Heights, Mo., Ronnie C. Swan and Sandra Jean Horton of Marble Hill; a granddaughter, Malanie Brownlow; a great-granddaughter, Katelyn Mae; and a sister, Goldie (Bud) Guthrie of Marble Hill.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Graham officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
