Dorothy B. Sprenger, 78, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, May 12, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born March 22, 1921, in Cape Girardeau County, daughter of George F. and Pauline E. Held Schwab. She and Paul W. Sprenger were married June 10, 1951, in Cape Girardeau.
Sprenger was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Campster Welfare Club, volunteer at Southeast Hospital and member of its auxiliary. She had been a Sunday School teacher at Trinity and St. Andrew Lutheran Churches.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Lynn Paul Sprenger; two daughters, Donna Sue Hinkle and Mary Kiser; a sister, Georgia Bierschwal, all of Cape Girardeau; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel from 4:30-8 p.m. today, and after 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew Church.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Paul Short officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
