Dorothy Enid Shuffler, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, April 24, 2000, at her home. She was born Aug. 25, 1920, in Rutherfordton, N.C., daughter of E. Upton and Saphronia Roper Bryant. She and B.E. "Bill" Shuffler were married Feb. 12, 1952, in Marion, N.C...

Dorothy Enid Shuffler, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, April 24, 2000, at her home.

She was born Aug. 25, 1920, in Rutherfordton, N.C., daughter of E. Upton and Saphronia Roper Bryant. She and B.E. "Bill" Shuffler were married Feb. 12, 1952, in Marion, N.C.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, William Shuffler of Malden, Gene Shuffler of Washington; a daughter, Elinda Eakins of Lawrenceville, Ga.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a grandchild.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel Thursday from 5-8 p.m.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jerry Statler officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
