CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Dorothy Catherine Rolwing, 92, of Charleston died Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Charleston Manor.

She was born April 5, 1922, in Charleston to the late Joseph Louis and Ida Francis Wilhelm Halter. She had lived in Charleston her entire life, where she was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and had been active in St. Henry Ladies Sodality and the Ave Maria Circle of Daughters of Isabella. She had also been a member of the Charleston VFW Auxiliary and the Texas Bend Extension Club.

On Feb. 25, 1946, she married Cornelius Paul Rolwing, who preceded her in death June 16, 2011.

Surviving are three sons, Dennis (Mary Ann) Rolwing of Cleveland, Missouri, Donald (Brenda) Rolwing of Sikeston, Missouri, and Philip (Candy) Rolwing of East Prairie, Missouri; three daughters, Linda (Ronnie) Estes and Deborah Rolwing, both of Charleston, and Karen (Omer) Clark of Bertrand, Missouri; one son-in-law, David Seyer of Jackson; one sister, Marie Amrhein of Cape Girardeau; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were one daughter, Jane Seyer; two grandsons, William Rolwing and Derek Estes; one great-grandson, Noah Tyson; and one sister, Beatrice Stocking.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Prayers will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston, with Monsignor Richard Rolwing of Cape Girardeau serving as the celebrant. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Estes, Codi Rolwing, Jason Estes, Matthew Rolwing, Josh Stortz and Josh Tyson.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Henry Catholic School, 306 Court St., Charleston, MO 63834 or the charity of the donor's choice.
