LEOPOLD, Mo. -- Dorothy L. Revell, 85, of Leopold passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born on Nov. 19, 1927, near Crump, she was the daughter of John and Carrie Schafer Huffman.
She married Loren A. Revell on Sept. 6, 1946, in Jackson. They had been married 60 years when he passed away Jan. 11, 2006.
For most of her life she was a homemaker but spent several years maintaining Do-Duds Laundry in Marble Hill, Mo. She considered Barks Chapel her home church.
Survivors include two sons, Billy and Darlene Revell of Sedgewickville, Mo., and Danny and Debbie Revell of St. Ann; two daughters, Barbara and Larry Mayfield of Marble Hill and Brenda and Tony Millner of Fisk, Mo.; one sister, Velma Allen of Leopold; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Loren Fredrick and James Edward; a daughter, Jolene Rhodes; a grandson; four brothers; and one sister.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jimmy Fulbright will officiate. Burial will be in Barks Chapel Cemetery near Crump.
