JACKSON, Mo. -- Dorothy M. Peetz, 70, of Jackson died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 20, 1930, west of Jackson, daughter of Louis and Lydia Brennecke Maag. She and Earl Peetz were married Nov. 23, 1949.
Peetz worked at the former Priest Clothing Store, then was a bookkeeper at the former Jackson Hosiery Mill. She was a bookkeeper 30 years at MFA Co-op, retiring in 1992.
She was a lifelong member of Emanuel United Church of Christ and member of its Friendship Circle. She was a former youth sponsor, formerly taught Sunday School in the Lower Junior Department, and was a former member of Bethany Circle.
Survivors include her husband.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and an infant brother.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today, and at Emanuel Church after 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. The Rev. Sam Roethemeyer will officiate. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery at Tilsit, Mo.
