Dorothy Marie McClain, 70, of Liberty died Tuesday, May 25, 1999, at Liberty Hospital.

She was born Oct. 22, 1928, in Nevada, Mo., the daughter of Laurence William and Bessie Adaline Hunt Cleland. She graduated from Liberty High School in 1946 and attended William Jewell College.

She married Don McClain on June 5, 1949. The couple would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year.

She was a member of Second Baptist Church and with her husband co-founded In As Much Ministries.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Larry McClain of Nashville, Tenn., J.P. McClain of Kansas City and David McClain of Liberty; a sister, Margaret Raasche of Cape Girardeau; and two grandsons.

Funeral will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Second Baptist Church in Liberty. A celebration gathering will follow.

Private burial will be at New Hope Cemetery in Liberty.

Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home in Liberty is in charge of arrangements.
