Dorothy Margrabe

Dorothy Margrabe was born Aug. 2, 1930, in Kansas and departed this life Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri, at the age of 89 years.

She was united in marriage to Robert H. Margrabe on Oct. 15, 1948. He preceded her in death in August 1984.

Dorothy was a member of First Baptist Church in Chaffee. She was homemaker and former certified nursing assistant.

Survivors include a son, Fred (Cecilia) Margrabe of Jackson; daughter, Barbara (Danny) Sadler of Chaffee; grandchildren, Debbie (Douglas) Ellis of Chaffee, Jenine (Phil) Pierce of Oklahoma, Andrew Margrabe of St. Louis and Richard (Anita) Smith of Sedgewickville, Missouri; 10 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Smith.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Josh Boley officiating.
