Dorothy Maye Lovett Smith, 74, of Oakland, Calif., died Monday, Sept. 27, 1993, at her home. She was formerly of Cape Girardeau. She was born Oct. 14, 1928, in Winn, Ark., daughter of Albertha Maxley. Survivors include her husband, Sales Smith; four nephews; three nieces, including Phyllis Williams of Salt Lake City, Utah, whom she reared; 21 great-nieces and-nephews, and a godchild...

Dorothy Maye Lovett Smith, 74, of Oakland, Calif., died Monday, Sept. 27, 1993, at her home. She was formerly of Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 14, 1928, in Winn, Ark., daughter of Albertha Maxley.

Survivors include her husband, Sales Smith; four nephews; three nieces, including Phyllis Williams of Salt Lake City, Utah, whom she reared; 21 great-nieces and-nephews, and a godchild.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Bishop Samual Smith will officiate, with burial in Fairmount Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from noon to service time.
