CAIRO, Ill. -- Graveside service for Dorothy M. Evans of Cairo was held Saturday at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge. The Rev. Earnest Brown officiated, with Barkett Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Evans, 81, died Thursday, July 30, 1992, at Daystar Care Center.

She was born Sept. 27, 1910, in Cairo, daughter of William S. and Flora DeBaun Evans. She was a retired hairstylist.

Survivors include a sister, Gladys Hardesty of Plainview, Texas, and a brother, George Evans of New York, N.Y.
